Bontonite clay?

I heard Zac mention that Bentonite clay is a nano no-no. I'm looking for some clarification here though. What exactly about it is nano? And doesn't nano need to be metallic to be structurable with electromagnetics? Still new to understanding nano and nano tech so pardon my ignorance in advance.
