We are already more than halfway done, and so we wanted to inform you on the progress. We have updated the design and functionality of the majority of the platform to make it more accessible and easy to use for all members, as well as to prepare Librti for the mobile app release. Some redundant pages and blocks have been removed, others have been added. As this is still work in progress, you will see more similar changes in the coming days and weeks. In addition to this, we were seeing reports on the usability of the messenger video calls - premium members could not talk with non-premium members. As such, due to popular demand, free members can now join secure Librti calls and conferences initiated by a Librti premium member, rather than having to be a premium member themselves to join any call. With everything that we’ve done so far, Librti already costs more than $6,500 a month just to make ends meet. As I write this post, we have multiple projects we’re collaborating on with other freedom-minded organizations across Canada, we’re also actively looking for the best solutions to feature to all of you, and we’ve got quite a few Librti updates in the pipeline, such as the long-awaited mobile app, marketplace, business directory, etc… And we’re just getting started! We know that times are tough, but if just 10% of our active members would donate an equivalent of a coffee cup a month, we would be able to cover all the expenses, and do so much more for all of us in the freedom movement! Every subscription really does make a big difference for us. We are 100% member-funded, and the level of the support you give is directly proportional to the rate at which we are able to do our work of connecting, informing, and empowering freedom-loving people.Through your support and feedback, we will continue making improvements and adding features in the coming w... Read more

Librti April Update - Your User Experience Just Got Better!

https://librti.com/view-news/librti-april-update-your-user-experience

https://librti.com/view-news/librti-april-update-your-user-experience

Two milestones just a month apart! Censorship is ramping up at a very quick and alarming pace here in Canada. All freedom loving Canadians need to be on a platform that cannot be censored or shut down. That is why we built Librti! What happens when Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube fully embrace Cancel Culture? How will we find each other? Across the border, Parler was shut down and is still limited. Gab is already being dropped by financial institutions, Visa and Mastercard, making it near impossible to stay in business. Each of us are on different platforms for various reasons and it is likely that very soon, the people that you want to follow and connect with will no longer be accessible on some of those platforms. What can we do as Canadians? We need to make sure all our friends have a safe harbour to weather this storm. Librti was created by the people for the people, and so the growth of this community is the responsibility of every single one of us. Please invite just one friend or family member to join Librti. One by one, we will grow into the only safe place left in Canada where freedom is essential. In kindness and gratitude,Your team at Librti.UPDATEEMAIL | FACEBOOK | TELEGRAM | TWITTER - Easy cut and paste for your friends and familyWe received a few requests for a template to make it very easy for you to share Librti.Feel free to use this template and modify it to your liking.Hi [Name of your friend], I’m on a new Canadian social site, because I see censorship ramping up at a very quick and alarming pace here in Canada. Our collective vision of Librti is becoming a reality, and we're happy to announce that we have a large update coming out in the second half of February. It will include new features, many fixes and improvements. We will make a separate announcement about this new release in approximately a week.Meanwhile, we have fixed and improved quite a few functions of the platform and here is a list of some of them:We have combined the knowledge base and support system in a dedicated portal. Visit this page for all your inquiries, suggestions, bug reports, and payment issues - https://www.librti.com/page/contactMake sure to use the same email address you registered with at Librti. You won't be automatically joining messenger chats when visiting a group page, so no more unexpected notification spam. To join a group/community chat and get updates, you first need to write something in that chat. The group messenger chats are now correctly labelled with corresponding group/community names within the messenger. You will now know if a chat is related to a particular group or community, or if it's a direct message.Premium members are now be able to join video calls correctly. The number of notifications has been decreased, and the notifications counter should not be resetting occasionally anymore. We will expand the amount of notification options in the next release, and by default only a few will be enabled (so that new members are not overwhelmed).Premium members that have access to posting articles can now link them to the general public, so you now have a place to host your publications and link them publicly to people who are not part of Librti yet.The community map is now dynamic, and the list of communities below is automatically updated based on your current map view. As you follow members and join groups, you can start making use of the PERSONAL feed, where you see content from people and groups that you follow. In the near future we will make your feed selection permanently tied to your account, so that you wont have to switch to your preferred feed every time you load the page. For your reference, here are the 4 feeds:New (Previously called Public) - where you can see posts (excluding posts to groups/communities that you're not part of) sorted by most recentHot (new default for the time being) - Where you can see more popular content that has recent activity.Personal (previously default) - Where you see content from people and groups that you follow sorted by most recentHashtags - Content related to the hashtags you followed.Popular/Top (coming soon) - Content sorted by popularity by day/week/monthAdditionally, we disabled some more messenger-related notifications completely for now, to make it easier to manage until we make it work exactly how it is intended to.

January 9, 2021: Platform Updates

https://librti.com/view-news/january-9-2021-platform-updates

https://librti.com/view-news/january-9-2021-platform-updates

Recent UpdatesFriends of Librti,We are working on a few exciting features and improvements of the platform thanks to all your valuable feedback and support. Here is some of what we've updated and changed over the past week:We've listened to your feedback! - Communities now have a dynamic map with a search bar, so that it is easy to find the community closest to you. Soon we will add a convenient "Request a community" button, but for now, please direct your requests to Tom Hopwood. Please note, that a new community will be set up only if at least several members request one in the same area.A few members have brought to our attention that the amount of timeline posts loaded on the main feeds is too low, so we have increased the amount of posts loaded from 8 to 12. We are considering to add infinite scroll in the futureSeveral design improvements across the siteReleased the premium plan with additional resource-intensive features such asAdding videos and photos to your profileUploading your own files, presentations, reports, charts, and so onVideo calling and conferencing with other premium members through the messengerCreating and managing your own group and eventsCreating public rich text formatting articles, which you can then share with the general public.16x expanded storage on your accountWe also updated the messenger - cut loading times in half, added time&date separators, introduced mentions, and more. You can see it on the left menu. Here we will be posting updates about the Librti platform - new features, changes, developments. We will also be posting about recent Librti Alliance developments (we will give more details about the alliance in the New Year, but in short - it is a group of leaders across Canada that are coming together and working together to make Canada glorious and free). Here is a list of some of what was changed or improved over the last few days:The new "Librti Updates" section was added. You wont be seeing other people's posts occasionally on your profile anymore.Various feed/timeline improvements, it became approximately 2 times faster, and should feel more responsive now.General site speed improvements - content blocks are loading faster now, and are more independent of one another. Now it is possible (once you upgrade your account in the near future) to create private events within groups and communities.
