I believe that no one has a right to impose their will on anyone else, thus I do not believe that government is morally legitimate. It took me decades to arrive at this realization after a great deal of research, reading, personal experience and introspection.I published a novel about this journey in 2016 and the project has since evolved into a trilogy loosely based on the premise of problem-reaction-solution, and I say loosely because it's a sort of inversion of the "Hegelian Dialectic" in that it's from the viewpoint of the people -- as opposed to being from the state's point of view.ONE is written in first person voice and is about a man's attempt to retain his individuality when the world wants him to think, feel and behave the same as everyone else. I think of it as a near-future philosophical thriller because it deals with technology, government, big media, big brother, tyranny and freedom. https://www.amazon.com/One-H-S-Ryan/dp/1534938001/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1481412906&sr=1-2The second book is currently in the works and it represents the "reaction", after the state clamps down and outright refuses to acknowledge humanity's natural state of being. This is being written in second person voice and is called TWO: Mother's War.The final book is about the "solution" and will be written in third-person voice and my goal here is to show how wonderful this world could be (will be) when we finally rid ourselves of these tyrannical overlords. Yes, the title is THREE: The Blank Slate.Sorry that it's only on evil Amazon but that's all that was available when first published. :-(
