Excellent interview. Especially in relation to our need to change the manner in which we elect MLA's and others. We are going through a Great Awakening as are all democracies worldwide. It should be abundantly clear to any sentient person that democracies simply cannot operate as currently constructed lest we elect representatives who:

1. Need a job

2. Have sparse credentials if any other than being candidates of a favoured political party

3. Lack the intelligence, strength of character and/or the courage to stand alone without "party support" on behalf of their constiutuents.

Consequently, I see no alternative but to reconstruct our democracy around the original "one man - one vote" concept which gave birth to it. That means the abolishment of most popular parliamentary systems by prohibiting political parties and the fund-raising abuses associated with it in favor of statutory, non-partisan government election funding. Thus, we'll have a far superior system characterized by talented, capable individuals participating in 100% free votes on all government issues, cabinet ministries, committes and such where responsibility and accountability rests only and squarely on those we elect forevermore. Nothing short of that will do. Let's get started.
